Candy Stevens, what have you done? You took the hand of the Lucifer Sun

The last couple of days have been spent working on new songs with my band and getting some rough recordings of initial ideas/wig outs for reference. Here are some edits of the session. Apologies for the ghostly "crackles" on a couple of the tracks.

Tanpura

As I said earlier, I would be posting either a Drone or Field recording that I have done.
The internet confuses me, so in till someone shows me how I can get an embedded player for this page, you will unfortunately have to click the link.

Tanpura Drone Recording

The recording is of a Electronic Tanpura.
Essentially a Electronic or Digital Tanpura is used to replicate the sound of the stringed drone instrument used in Indian Music.
It was invented to allow musicians to practice without the need for an actual Tanpura player.
Now these "little white boxes" are pretty cool and this one gets a lot of use in my band. The recording was done pretty quickly, and more so for a listening test. Over the next few weeks, I will be doing some proper recordings, sending the tanpura through various amps and effects. When I get them done, I'll post them up. Maybe by then the internet wont be so confusing.

As quiet as a spider/As loud as a tiger

Currently working on a number of things at the moment. If I sort my shit, I'll get a Field or Drone recording up on here by the end of the day.
But for now I'm going to spend my time reading about Arnold Schoenberg.
